ALL 4-H Qualifying Shows, Clinics, and Horsemanship Skills must continue to follow all COVID-19 CDC and Virginia Department of Health regulations and guidelines.

Northwest Distict Horse Bowl Qualifying Event- March 4, 2023: Location GW Carver Center, Rapidan, VA; Hosts: Bertha Durbin and Carrie Swanson, Registration form. Entries due Feb 24, 2023
Hipppology and Horse Judging Clinic: February 25, 2023: Location-Misty Run Eventing, Culpeper, VA; Hosts: Lisa and Hannah- Flyer
NO District level communication contest is scheduled at this time. To qualify for Equismartz, the 4-Her must win a Blue Danish from any unit or county contest for public speaking, presentations, or team presentations.

* Horsemanship Skills Testing (Skills testing dates will be posted after approval by the Northwest District 4-H Horse Council) If interested in hosting a skills testing event please contact the NDHC. Details on hosting a skills testing event can be found on the State 4H site: Skills testing application
Starting in January 2022: A 4-Her needs only to have passed the skills tests level 1 and 2 once with any project horse in order to qualify for the State Show.
